This 2024 Calendar is created from the work painted for “Rare in Virginia” all species represented in the paintings are endangered in Virginia. It makes the perfect gift for the holidays. Each month has a full sized image of a surrealistic Victorian-era inspired rare animal, with a rare plant and rare insect, as well as a fun fact about the animal. Fully open the calendar measures 10in. x 18in. it’s high quality, full color, printing with a satin finish on partially recycled paper by a local printer that uses 100% renewable energy. 10% of the proceeds of this calendar will be donated to Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation, specifically their Natural Heritage program

Cassandra is an artist whose paintings reflect a lifelong love of animals & traditional art. She puts her own slightly absurd surrealistic twist on art by replacing animals with people, making them eccentric but approachable for all. She creates her paintings in acrylic & oil and works to reproduce the rich colors reminiscent of art from past eras. She has been in exhibits across the USA & internationally.
